OK, here is yet one more example of how tone deaf, dare I say, STUPID, the U.S. mainstream media is.
There are a couple of things at play here. First; By now you all know that I am not a Trump fan and did not vote for the man. However, I also believe in giving credit where credit is due. I and others have been talking about this kind of reform for years. Locking people up for multiple years for non-violent crimes, in many cases, is just not necessary. This has also been a big issue for the left, as they complain about the incarceration rate of the black community in particular, all the time. So why is this not being blared across the news sources, as so much negative news about Trump is?
Second; The proper job of the media is to INFORM the electorate, NOT to influence it. Fortunately we now have the Internet to circumvent the lies, distortions, and omissions of the left-leaning media. This is just one reason why they and the pols keep trying to get rid of the Internet. If the Internet remains in play then it is more difficult to lie to the country. This young lady has discovered that for herself. And like me and so many others have been doing for years, she now questions the honesty and the politics of the media.
This is another reason for the #Blexit movement and the #Walkaway movement among many former Democrats. They finally reached their limits, apparently. Just stop lying to us. Just provide the news as it is and we will make our own decisions about what and whom to like or dislike. Many are waking up to the left-leaning politics and agenda of the media and they don't like it. But the media, being the stupid leftists that they are, just keep doubling, even tripling down on the lies and the editorializing.
The more people awaken to the lies of the left and the media the more they will start moving toward freedom and free thinking. So, keep up the good work, MSM, you are proving to be your own worst enemy.
